What do we do in the studio?

Virtual Studio Experiences

Large‑Format Somatic Painting

  • This experience invites you to work on big surfaces—think large sheets of paper or canvas on the wall or floor. Drawing on neuro expressive arts principles, the process invites you to loosen your grip on your process.

  • Using broad brushstrokes, or even your hands, you explore colors and marks to release and embrace emotions that words can’t express. The focus is on the process, not the final product, promoting a mind–body connection and healthy brain wave activity. The best of neuroscience and deep inner work.

  • Expect sessions that combine relaxation and gentle embodied movement with painting. Participants often find this practice energizing, liberating and deeply grounding.

What to Expect

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

  • You’ll be guided through the gentle processes, then translate them into process painting.

  • Sessions usually end with group reflection to share insights and experiences.

  • Simple supply list, easy to set up at home.

Visual Journaling & Mixed Media Journals

  • Visual journaling blends imagery and rewiring language prompts to create a personal, reflective practice. Skillfully guided to work with neuroplasticity, you express experiences that might be difficult to put into words. You’ll understand the joy of imagery and translating your own work for deep understanding and insight.

  • Highly researched, this practice can provide a container for life’s more difficult experiences, offering calming reflection moments and mental renewal. Creating an image accesses the sensory aspects of experiences, while writing helps to organize and release unsupportive inner narrative. This goes beyond surface level expression and creates effective and long-lasting change.

  • In the studio, you’ll experiment with various mediums, generally cost effective, and to create pages that are fully unique to you. The specific prompts support you in activated neuroplasticity and useful reflection. You can share your insights in small groups or stay quiet and private.

What to Expect

  • Guided prompts.

  • Time for personal reflection and optional sharing.

  • Gentle coaching on how to use visual journaling for stress reduction and insight.

Expressive Nature Experiences

  • These sessions take inspiration from therapeutic eco‑art. You’ll be inspired by natural materials—leaves, rocks, sticks and flowers, oceans, mountains and your own backyard.

  • Participants are encouraged to focus on the present moment, cultivating an attitude of non‑judgmental acceptance while creating. Working with natural objects fosters mindful moments and a deeper connection to nature.

  • Techniques are simple yet profound.

What to Expect

  • Encouragement to get back to nature with Guided audio walks to gather materials.

  • Simple art exercises.

  • Discussion on how nature‑based creativity reduces stress and enhances well‑being.

  • Sumi Ink inspired and simple, portable materials.

  • All experiences are process‑oriented, meaning there’s no pressure to produce “perfect” art; the emphasis is on exploration, self‑discovery and enjoyment.

  • Classes are hosted live online with replays available, and you’ll have access to a supportive online community for sharing your work and asking questions.

  • Experiences are adapted to your level—beginners are welcome—and facilitators integrate neuroscience‑informed practices (such as breath regulation) to enhance learning and well‑being.

How can Kumi Collective programs help reduce workplace stress?

Our programs include stress management, neuro-mindfulness training, and proactive mindset support tailored to reduce workplace stress.

This isn’t about emptying the mind or drifting into an altered state—it’s about training the brain to handle real life with ease. Using neuroplasticity principles, participants learn simple, science-backed mindfulness techniques that strengthen focus, regulate stress, and improve emotional agility. Each practice is designed to rewire the brain’s pathways for clarity, resilience, and intentional action. Participants leave with tools they can apply anywhere—whether they’re preparing for a big meeting, navigating daily challenges, or simply wanting to feel more present and in control.

Are the Kumi Collective wellbeing programs scalable to different company sizes?

Yes, all our programs are scalable and can be tailored to fit the needs of small teams to large organizations. We work closely with your HR department to ensure our services integrate seamlessly with your existing wellness initiatives.

Do we have to be "good at art ?"

No. All skill levels are welcome. A sense of curiosity and willingness to try something new is all that is required. The experience is about being present and innovative.

Can individuals participate in Kumi Collective well-being programs remotely?

Yes. Many organizations with remote workers gather to create with us via video conferencing. A simple supply list is sent ahead of time.

What makes Kumi Collective Corporate Well-being experiences different from other workplace wellness programs?

Unlike typical wellness workshops, our sessions activate the whole brain through art-based methods, emotional intelligence tools, and real-time mindset upgrades.
